Obituary of Edwin Smith

Edwin Laurice Smith passed away on November 22, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital after a three year battle with cancer which he faced with courage and dignity. Born in Fredericton on November 12, 1948, Ed was the son of the late Percy Smith and the late Leola (Price) Smith. Ed was a carpenter who enjoyed gardening, cooking and nature walks. Ed is survived by his wife Wanda (Ross), sons Darren and Derek, brothers Dave (Irene), Richard (Adrienne), Pat (Jinzhi), sister Sheila McKie (Dallas), aunt Flora Rice, mother-in-law Theresa Ross, brothers-in-law Kerry Ross (Rose Marie) and Kevin Ross (Bev), several nieces and nephews and many cousins. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his brother Gerald Smith, father-in-law Walter Ross and brother-in-law Dale Ross. There will be no visitation or funeral at Ed's request.
