Obituary of Carl Jones

Life Legacy The passing of Carl Freeman Jones of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Marie (Fox) Jones occurred on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 9, 1930 in Tay Falls, NB, he was a son of the late Lewis and Abigail (Haines) Jones. Carl’s passion in life was canoe building. Carl is survived by his children, Steven Jones (Angela) of Fredericton, NB, Dianne Tissington of New Maryland, NB and Kerry Ann Hughson (David) of Douglas, NB; grandchildren, Troy, Jason and Christeann Sandwith, Nicholas and Patricia Jones and Avery Hughson; great granddaughter, Hailey Hammond; great grandson, Owen Sandwith; sister, Freda Brewer (Leo); several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Carl was predeceased by his brothers, Durward and Winslow Jones. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 3-7 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Moore officiating. Honourary Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons. Interment will take place in the Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton, Douglas Rural Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice.
