Obituary of Merlyn Scott

The passing of Merlyn Leon Scott of Fredericton, NB, husband of Alice (Ryan) Scott occurred on Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on September 11, 1932 in Boiestown, NB, he was the son of the late Norman and Merle (MacLellan) Scott. Merlyn was a Forestry Supervisor at Base Gagetown. In addition to his wife, Merlyn is survived by his daughter, Katherine Scott; sons, Steven Scott (Darla) and Michael Scott (Fozia); grandchildren, William, Megan and Jamaal Scott; sister, Muriel Nightingale of Fredericton, NB; brother, King Scott of London, ON; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Lawrence Scott. In keeping with Merlyn’s wishes there will be no services.
