Obituary of David McFarlane

Life Legacy The passing of David McFarlane of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jean (Stone) McFarlane occurred on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 25, 1926 in Paisley, Scotland, he was the son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Laird) McFarlane. David worked in Aircraft Maintenance with the Canadian Air Force. He previously worked in woodworking and built many pieces of furniture. In addition to his wife, David is survived by his daughter, Carol Knizat (Rudy) of Creston, BC; step sons, Michael Hale (Debbie) of Lower Sackville, NS and John Hale (Ann) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Richard Knizat, Robyn Hale, Deidre Stone, James Hale, Brendan Hale, Sean Hale and Katherine Hale. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, David Knizat and brother, Andrew McFarlane. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the CNIB.
