Life Legacy
Today the world is a little darker and the sun is not shining as brightly because today we start the rest of our journey without you, a devoted and loving husband, cherished son, brother, father and awesome grandfather. The passing of Sandy Austin Savage of Stanley, NB, husband of Hoda (Merrill) Savage, occurred on Monday, August 24, 2015 at his home. Born on March 16, 1957 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of Amy (Flewelling) Savage and the late Harry Savage. Sandy served as a member of the RCMP from October 1981, until he retired from the force in July, 2013. He was an active member of the St. Thomas Anglican Church.
In addition to his mother and wife, Sandy will be greatly missed by his children, Christopher Savage (Marie-Pier), Bradley Savage (Nicole), Nicole Castonguay (Marc) and Taylor Martin; grandchildren, Destiny Andersen and Benjamin Savage, Serenity, Chase and Willow Savage, Kyle and Brayden Castonguay; brother, Laurie Savage; sister in law, Barbara Savage; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Sandy was predeceased by his brother, Leigh.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. We will honour Sandy with a Celebration of Life at St. Thomas Anglican Church on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Bonita LeBlanc officiating. Interment will take place in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the St. Thomas Anglican Church. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
