Obituary of Evelyn Grant

The passing of Evelyn Eliza Mae Grant of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Willard “Billy” Grant occurred on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 15, 1931 in Kingsley, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Lily Mae (McConchie) Sandwith. She was a member of Wilmot United Church. For sixty years, Evelyn owned and operated Evelyn’s Beauty Shop in Downtown Fredericton. Over many years Evelyn was actively involved with many organizations and several clubs in Fredericton. Evelyn is survived by her son, J. Ellis Grant (Adele) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Nadine Grant (Bruce Hamilton) and Joelle Grant both of Halifax, NS; sisters, Freda Henderson, Ethel Burlock, Hepsey Edgar (Richard), Areta Trail (Fred), Sandra Gilbey (Earl) and Helen Parker (Danny) all of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Lois Sandwith and Nancy Sandwith both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Junior and Maureen Sullivan. Besides her parents and husband, Evelyn was predeceased by her brothers, John and Malcolm Sandwith; brothers in law, Carl Burlock and Eldon Henderson. There will be a Private Family Service with Rev.
