Obituary of Elma Martin

The passing of Elma Loretta Martin, formerly of Astle, NB occurred on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Astle, NB on January 25, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Leith “Bun” and Vesta (Green) Hunter. Elma was a member of the Boiestown Legion Branch #78 Elma is survived by her daughter, Myrna Brideau (Duane) of Lincoln, NB; sons, Calvin Martin (Mary) of Fredericton, NB, Stephen Martin (Cindy) of British Columbia; grandchildren, Josée , Jacob, Danielle and Jared; brothers, Merle Hunter (Emily) of Astle, NB, Vincent Hunter of Oromocto, NB, Leith Hunter (Edwina) of Astle, NB and Winston Hunter (Rowena) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son and two infant granddaughters. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon Macleod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Brian MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be in Astle Community Cemetery.
