Norma graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1961. She was a dedicated worker in the medical field. She loved her job, knowing she was making others feel better or comforting them in sadness. After 45 years of helping others she then had to leave that field of work and became a clerk for the ‘ICU’ Department. She was the mother of the unit. She kept everyone on his or her toes. She was dedicated to her patients and cried tears for them. Norma went above and beyond in everything she did. Norma was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 80, which was her place of home every Friday night playing darts. She enjoyed watching her son, grandsons and hockey grandkids play hockey for the Stanley Bulldogs. She loved spending time with her granddaughters and was always showing pictures and telling everyone how wonderful they were. She spent many days traveling in her little grey car running the roads visiting friends and family. Norma spent many weekends in Mactaquac with her camping family enjoying the beach and campfires.
The family would like to thank Extra Mural for their exceptional service; especially Tanya Young. Thank you to the Upper Nashwaak Outreach for all their care especially Edna Peterson. No words can express the love and care received from Dr. Gonzalez, Dr. Gowan, Dr. Nitchke, Dr. Gillies-Doyle and all the staff of the Palliative Care Unit.
