Obituary of Lorne Ferris

The passing of Lorne Brownrigg Ferris of Fredericton, NB, husband of Mabel (Spinney) Ferris occurred on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 6, 1933 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Guy and Ellen (Osborn) Ferris. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Lorne was a driver and salesman for the Saint John News Company for 43 years. In addition to his wife, Lorne is survived by his daughter, June d’Entremont (Cleve) of Nova Scotia; son, Brian Ferris (Linda) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Joel Ferris (Janet), Noel d’Entremont (Wanda), Allison Ferris and Loriann Peel (Damien); two great-grandchildren on the way; sister-in-law, Audrey Ferris; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an infant child; his sister, Geraldine Day; brothers, Edward and Morgan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Jon Lownds and Rev. Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.
