Obituary of Mildred Hanson

The passing of Mildred Pearl Hanson of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late Howard Hanson Sr. occurred on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at her home. Born on June 29, 1922 in Zealand, NB, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Annie (Burtt) Bird. Mildred was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Bible Church and was an avid participant of all the church activities. She loved to play board games, word searches and enjoyed cooking. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Evangeline Pugh (Daniel) of Fredericton, NB, Betty Brewer (Carroll) of Zealand, NB, Margo McFee of Burtts Corner, NB; sons, Howard Hanson Jr. (Brenda) of Douglas, NB, Francis Hanson (Sheila) of Fredericton, NB and James Hanson (Shelly) of Keswick Ridge, NB; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; half sisters, Carlene Tranquilla of Fredericton, NB, Gloria Dickinson (Bob) of Burlington, ON; step brother, Carl Bird of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents Mildred was predeceased by granddaughter, Amy Horton; sisters, Daisy Normand, Nelda Targett; brothers, Donald Bird, Charlie Bird, Roland Bird; half sister, Geraldine Mount; half brother, Gerald Bird; step sister, Phyllis Johnston, Winnifred Ashton; step brother, Lorne Bird. Visitation will take place at the Cornerstone Bible Church, Burtts Corner, NB on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the Church on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2 pm with Pastor Steve Matthews and Pastor Tyler Horton officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandsons, Dan Pugh, Terry Brewer, David Brewer, Adam Hanson, Jody Hanson, Jesse Hanson, John McFee and David Hawkins.
