Obituary of Ernest Carten
The passing of Ernest “Ernie” Ray Carten of Royal Road, NB, husband of Marlene (Firth) Carten occurred on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 29, 1938 in Hainesville, NB, he was the son of the late Milford and Myrtle (Brewer) Carten. He retired from Maple Leaf Homes as a carpet layer. He loved working on old cars. Ernie will be remembered as a jack of all trades, who enjoyed fixing things.
In addition to his wife, Ernie is survived by his daughters, Barbara Fullarton (Tom), Tammy Carten (Tony), Laura Beddow (Harry), Lisa Carten (Donnie) and Elva Armstrong (Philip); sons, Ernie Carten (Sandra) and Mark Carten (Norma) all of Fredericton, NB; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Don Carten of Fredericton, NB; special nephew, Randy Firth; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Fred Carten (Annie); sister in law, Kathleen and nephew, Donnie Wayne.
