Life Legacy
The passing of Edith Maxine Peacock of Taymouth, NB, wife of Burns Peacock, occurred on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 7, 1947 in Taymouth, NB, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes (Moran) Benoit. Edith enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking, sewing and especially time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by her daughters, Darlene Clarkson (William) of Woodstock, NB and Laurie Gaudet (Lyndon) of Taymouth, NB; son, Marvin Peacock (Wendy) of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren; one great grandson; sisters, Marie Davison (Llew) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB, Shirley Brown of Fredericton, NB, Elsie Breau (Elliard) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB and Mary Ellen Benoit of Stanley, NB; brothers, Wayne Bennett (Carla) of Fredericton, NB, Leonard Bennett (Jocelyn) of Durham, NB and Darrell Stewart of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Brian and niece, Shirley Storey.
Visitation will take place at Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church, Taymouth, NB, on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the church on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating and Rev. Gordon Mowry assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Tom Brown, Tyler Peacock, Derek Clarkson, Andrew Peacock, Jim Breau and Junior Bennett. Interment will take place in Zionville Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Zionville Cemetery.
