Obituary of Esther Soutar

The passing of Esther McNicoll Soutar of Durham Bridge, NB wife of the late William Soutar occurred on Monday, May 4, 2015 at home. Born on January 30, 1925 in Dundee, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late David and Grace (McKinnon) Craig. Esther enjoyed playing piano, singing, dancing and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Esther is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Mackey of Edmonton, AB, Sylvia Soutar (Jerry Lyons) and Heather Landry (Raymond) both of Durham Bridge, NB; sons, David Soutar (Wanda) of Edmonton, AB, Ian Soutar of Durham Bridge, NB, Greg Soutar (Rose) of New Maryland, NB and Adrian Soutar of Edmonton, AB; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Angela Scott (granddaughter), Delores Poirier and Ann-Marie Landry who were dedicated in caring for Esther in a loving and kind way. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 12-2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
