Life Legacy
It is with great sadness and lots of love, that we announce the passing of Wayne Ellsworth Corey, of Fredericton, N.B., husband of Marilyn Corey (Bradley), which occurred on March 18, 2015, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born on August 29, 1942 in Temperance Vale N.B., he was the son of the late Fraser and Ruth Corey (Jones). He worked for 25 years in the heavy equipment business, with Mussens Ltd, Atmus Equipment and the M.T.M Group. Following retirement, he worked with Hayland, and in the last few years he became everyone’s favourite “handyman”, and he will be missed by many people! He was a trusted handyman for a number of senior ladies in Fredericton, who were very special to him and he made some very close friendships through his work for them. Wayne was a past president of the Fredericton City Club and a member of the Alexandria Lodge #33, and a Luxor Shriner of Saint John.
Wayne loved his grandchildren very much, Emma Corey, his first grandchild and his only granddaughter, and his three grandsons, Ben Corey, Tyler Corey and Evan Corey. He loved watching all three boys play hockey and could always be found in his favourite spot, standing at the end of rink.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Colin Corey and his wife Michelle (Ferris), Scott Corey and his wife Lisa (Crockett), and his grandchildren, Tyler Corey, Even Corey, Emma Corey and Ben Corey.
