Obituary of Norma Lanteigne

The passing of Norma (Gionet) Lanteigne of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Gerard Lanteigne occurred on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 15, 1930 in Bas Caraquet, NB she was the daughter of the late Leonce and Esther Gionet. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, Stepping Stones and the Senior Citizens Club. Norma is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Brophy (Ken) of Fredericton, NB; grandsons, Matthew Brophy (Merlinda Komorani) and Aaron Brophy (Bianca) both of Fredericton, NB; her sisters, Doris LeBreton (Hector) of Quebec and Dora Lanteigne of Caraquet, NB; her brothers, Raymond (Jacqueline) and Robert (Edmonde) Gionet both of Caraquet, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Anne Paulin and Louisa Mallet and her brother, Livain. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
