Obituary of Thelma Morgan
The family of Annie Thelma Morgan of Fredericton are saddened to announce her passing on January 26, 2015 at White Rapids Manor, Fredericton Junction at the age of 92. Born in New Maryland, NB she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Bessie (Brown) McFarlane and the wife of the late James W. Morgan. Thelma was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church and the U.C.W. and was a volunteer of many years at York Manor.
She was a loving mother, homemaker and in her younger years a bookkeeper for Lee’s Market, Brown Brothers and a Cream Tester at Farmers Dairy.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Sharon Bridges (Eugene) of Noonan, NB; brother Waldo McFarlane of New Maryland, NB; sister, Wilza Phillips of Rusagonis, NB; sister-in-law, Norma McFarlane of New Maryland, NB; special people in her life, Marion McLeod of Fredericton, NB, and Laurie Billings of Noonan, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ira McFarlane; sister-in-law, Marina McFarlane and brother-in-law, Boyd Phillips.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of White Rapids Manor for the excellent care given to Thelma. Mother would love to sit in the great room watching the birds outside the window and the activity inside the manor.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 12-2 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in the New Maryland United Baptist Cemetery, at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the White Rapids Manor (Mini Bus Replacement Fund) or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
