Obituary of William Savage

The passing of William Stanley Savage of Fredericton, NB, husband of Vivian (Murray) Savage, occurred on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the York Care Centre. Born on October 14, 1930 in Barkers Point, NB, he was the son of the late Irvin and Vida (Chase) Savage. William enjoyed Western Horse Back Riding, gardening, hunting and loved dogs. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Ken Savage (Wanda) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) and Scott, his sister, Phyllis Wheeler of Douglas, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, William is predeceased by his siblings Ellis Savage, Osbourne Savage, June Marie Savage, Lois Allen, Arthur Savage, Kenneth Savage and Florence Schriver. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 3-7 pm. A celebration of Bill’s life will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11 am, lead by Dr. W. Barry Miller. Interment will take place in Doaktown United Church Cemetery at a later date.
