Obituary of Mildred O'Donnell

The passing of Mildred Marion O’Donnell of New Bandon, NB, wife of Mackenzie O’Donnell occurred on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on April 7, 1927 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura (Storey) Russell. Mildred loved to shop and enjoyed being at home with family. In addition to her husband, Mildred is survived by her daughters, Deborah Shaw (Fred) of Sussex, NB, Wanda Burkhardt (John) of Ludlow, NB and Susan O’Donnell of Fredericton, NB; sons, Clark O’Donnell (Valerie) of New Bandon, NB and Robert O’Donnell of Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren, Christopher, Annette, Suzanne, Stephanie, Erin, Jason, Darrick, Melissa and Robyn; seventeen great grandchildren; sisters, Elsie McCormack of Fredericton, NB, Laurenda Betts (Ray) of Doaktown, NB; brother, Ronald Russell (Jean) of Prince George, BC; sisters in law, Elizabeth Russell, Lois Russell and Pauline Russell; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth (Gladys), Wendall, Gary, Buddy, Stanley, Eugene and Lonnie; daughter in law, Heather O’Donnell; brother in law, Holmes McCormack. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Methodist Church on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 4-6 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 11 am with Rev. J. A. Treese officiating. Interment will take place in the Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
