Obituary of Stanley Vetter
Life Legacy
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Stanley “Stan” Peter Vetter of Fredericton, NB, husband of Wendy (Williston) Vetter on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home. Born on May 6, 1952 in La Minerve, QC, he was a son of the late Francis and Jeannie (Reed) Vetter. Stan was a self employed painter and drywall installer, who had an “old school” work ethic that was evident in any job he undertook. Stan loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially when it included his son or any of his close friends. He enjoyed watching sports and spent countless years proudly cheering on his children and grandchildren at the hockey rink and the ball field. Above all else, Stan loved his family dearly and cherished the many family get-togethers and vacations. He loved nothing better than relaxing around a campfire with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Stan is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Hart (Dennis) of Noonan, NB and Andrea Vetter (Melinda Lyons) of Fredericton, NB; son, Jeff Vetter (Chelsea Theriault) of Durham, NB; grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna Hart, Ashlyn and Ava Vetter; sisters, Rose Thomson (Bill) of Burlington, ON, Linda Bellisle (Rolland), Kathleen Vetter and Hazel Vetter all of La Minerve, QC; brothers, Fred Vetter (Jeannette) and Danny Vetter both of La Minerve, QC; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Stan was predeceased by his sisters, Joan Chalut, Jenny Bennett and Mary Pilon; brothers, John, Francis Jr., Ted , Roy and Donnie Vetter.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. A. J. Plaizier and Pastor Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
