Life Legacy
The passing of Lloyd Malcolm Denton of New Maryland, NB, husband of the late Amy Denton occurred on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 15, 1940 in Lakeville Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Sam and Annie (Campbell) Denton. He spent his career, as an Electrical Engineer at NB Power, for over 36 years. Lloyd dedicated over 40 years to harness racing, travelling the circuit in Atlantic Canada and the USA, spending the last eight years since retirement as a groomer and trainer in Florida, during the winter. He loved to golf, liked doing carpentry work and spending time with family, especially his grandson.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Kim Denton Moore (Stephen) of Fredericton, NB; grandson, Christopher Moore; sisters, Bernice Mulock (Ed) of Vancouver, BC and Madeline Denton of Mill Cove, NB; brothers, Doug Denton (Lena) of Minto, NB, Keith Denton (Janis) of Vancouver, BC and Murray Denton (Holly) of Lakeville Corner, NB; several nieces and nephews; his canine friend, “his little girl” Mindy. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Gail Lambert.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB at a later date.
