Obituary of Betty Gillespie

The passing of Betty Anne Gillespie of Doaktown, NB, wife of the late Winston Gillespie, occurred on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at home. Born on July 18, 1946 in Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Muriel (Arbeau) Peterson. Betty Anne loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty Anne is survived by her long time companion, Jimmy Miner; daughter, Lisa Gillespie of Fredericton, NB; son, Troy Gillespie (Kathy) of Prince George, BC; grandchildren, Jessica Gillespie-Stewart (Shane), Melissa O’Donnell, Robyn O’Donnell, Tye Gillespie, Tucker Gillespie and Kennedy Gillespie; great grandchildren, Cole and Jaxon; son-in-law, Robert O’Donnell; numerous sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Heather O’Donnell. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. J. A. Treese officiating. Interment will take place in Doaktown Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
