To Daisy, sons and the extended Martin family,
Although it has been many years since I have seen Boyce, I was able to have some e-mail communication with him over the past six years. His gracious manner, unaffected demeanour and witty outlook on life are traits one cannot forget.
May God's ever present grace and love go before you now and always.

Our hearts are broken today as we hear of Boyce’s passing. Boyce was a special person and an inspiration to many he came in contact with during his years of ministry. He lived a faith-filled life and we feel blest to have had him for these years. The days ahead will be difficult without him, but our faith will give us strength and hope. He had now join mom and dad, our brothers and sisters and we live with the assurance that someday we will meet again where we will never have to say good-bye. Until then may God keep you in his embrace. Wish we could be with you at this time but due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable but know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Uncle Boyce. We will cherish each of them.
Over the years with him, we have enjoyed many visits and phone calls, shared great meals and long chats, and celebrated some of our family's most important milestones. There has been so much joy and laughter with a few tears mingled in.
To us he will always be a special brother and confidant, a cherished uncle and great uncle and a dear friend. Our lives are richer because he was here. We will miss him.
We know your hearts are broken and we hold you in our thoughts and prayers
as you celebrate the life and mourn the loss of your wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
We believe these words by Bessie Anderson Stanley are fitting because they describe him so well:
"He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much...
Who has enjoyed the respect of intelligent men and the love of little
children;
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
Who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty or failed to express it;
Who has left the world better than he found it...
Who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had;
Whose life was an inspiration;
Whose memory a benediction."

Daisy, David, Rodney and Jaron,
Our hearts are broken with the news of Boyce’s passing; words aren't able to express the sadness we feel. Boyce was very special to us and we have so many memories of times spent with him; memories that we will always cherish. We enjoyed your visit this past summer and the time we got to spend with him was precious to us. During the past weeks he had been suffering so much and while it hurts to lose him, we know his pain and suffering is finally over and he is in a better place. One day we will all have the joy of seeing him again.
Circumstances prevent us from being there with you physically, but we are praying that God will give all of you the strength you need today and in the days ahead. May your memories bring you peace and may you find comfort in the love and support of family and friends. You are in our thoughts always.
With love and prayers,
Ruby and Jake

Words cannot express the breaking of the heart felt today. We've lost a solid Rock in all our lives. Uncle Boyce was a man we all loved. He was kind, gentle, compassionate, supportive, a lot of fun and his passing leaves us with an empty void. We don't always have the answer to the whys of the circle of life but we can all cherish his memory and I will always treasure the times I had the opportunity to visit with him over the years. I'm thinking of you all today and sending lots of love and prayers. May you find strength and peace in knowing that he is in a better place and no longer in pain.
