Obituary of Carl Nash

The passing of Carl Vincent Nash, husband of Angella (Estey) Nash, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 8, 1946 in Miramichi, NB, he was the son of the late Carl and Margaret (Colford) Nash. Carl was a truck driver. He loved spending time on the river as a guide for Renous Lodge. He had a passion for playing crib and was a national champion in 2010. Carl was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #15, Marysville. In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his daughters, Patricia Nash of Woodstock, Ida-Lynn (Wayne) Estey of Ontario, Karrie Estey of Fredericton; brothers, James (Evelyn) Doyles Brook, Ralph (Sharon) of Chatham, William “Billy” (Mazie) of Barnettville; sisters, Bridget Furlong (Francis) of Blackville, Veronica Duffy (Simon) of Pineville, Sylvia Duthie (Gerald) of Chelmsford, Lois Brown (John) of Kingsley, Linda Dickson (Keith) of Napan, Anne Burns (Mike) of Blackville and Margaret “Peggy” Munn (Willard) of White Rapids; brothers and sisters in law, Brenda Brideau, Gérard Arseneault (Georgine Mallais), Jacques Arseneault (Kim), Carl Donaher, Denise Arseneault- Shapter, Lynda Upshaw (Douglas), Jacynthe- Mina Murray (Wayne) and Rosemonde Burns (Frederick); several nieces and nephews; special dog Angel. Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by sisters, Joan Furlong (Clarence), Helena Furlong (Herman); brothers, John (Sally) and Edmond (Linda); sister-in-law, Verna Donaher; brothers in law, Rev. Ian Shapter and Euclide Brideau; nephew, Walter "Wally"; nieces, Theresa and Tabatha. As per the request of the family there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2 pm with Father Owen Burns officiating.
