Obituary of Marion Hepburn
The passing of Marion Jane Hepburn of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Stanley John “Jack” Hepburn occurred on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 25, 1918 in Malpeque, PEI, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (MacKenzie) Ready. Marion was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church and the United Church Women; she was also a member of the Nashwaaksis Lionettes for 29 years.
Marion is survived by her four daughters, Barbara Campbell (Alan) of Ottawa, ON, Nancy Fournier (John) of Moncton, NB, Janice Macaulay (Darrell) of Weldon, NB and Kathy Moorcraft (Danny) of Calgary, AB; twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Marion was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Terrance; twin sister, Lillian Stevenson; sister, Josephine Paine and brother, Henry.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. J. D. Kennedy officiating. Interment will take place in Malpeque Cemetery, PEI on Monday at 2 pm.
