O’Hara, Patrick Gregory
The unexpected passing of Patrick “Pat” Gregory O’Hara of Stanley, NB, husband of the late Joan (Fullarton) O’Hara, occurred on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 17, 1949 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Alton and Linna (Quigg) O’Hara. Pat was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Stanley, NB. Pat was a carpenter by trade working several years with Hood Bros and most recently with Service Master. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and curling. He was best known as “Pitcher Pat” having played softball for many years.
Pat is survived by his son, Timothy (Michelle) O’Hara of Taymouth, NB; grandchildren, Riley, Zachary and Chloe; brothers, Paul, Eugene, Alton (Rhona), Lynn and Michael O’Hara; sisters, Mary O’Hara, Anne O’Hara and Greta (Kevin) Murphy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabel Dorcas, Winnie (Ralph) Mallock, Martin (Maxine) Fullarton, Ronnie (Margaret) Fullarton, Bill (Betty) Fullarton, Jessie Fullarton, Ruth O’Hara, Erin O’Hara and Marlene O’Hara; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Edward, Richard, Robert, Henry, Carl and Floyd O’Hara.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Stanley, NB on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan as celebrant. A Family Interment will take place in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
