Obituary of Lillian Roussell

The passing of Lillian “Lily” Elizabeth Roussell of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Aurele Roussell, occurred on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the York Care Centre. Born on January 28, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Canney) Sharkey. Lily was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church. She worked many years ago at the Marysville Cotton Mill. Lily is survived by her daughters, Myrna Wrixon of Barker’s Point, NB, Daphna Glenn (Alton) of St. John’s, NL and Tina O’Brien (David) of Acton, ON; sons, André “Andy” Roussell of Killarney Road, NB and Marc Roussell of Barker’s Point, NB; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Lily was predeceased by her sister, Mary Jakub; brother, Desmond Sharkey. Lily was the last surviving member of her immediate family. There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
