Obituary of James Somerville

The passing of James Robert Somerville of Astle, NB, occurred on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on May 29, 1942 in Zionville, NB he was the son of the late Oliver and Mary (Moran) Somerville. Known as “Bobby”, he was a woodsman all his life, with a smile for everyone. James is survived by his brother, William Somerville of Durham, NB; sisters, Sharon Woodcock of Fredericton, NB, Sonya Carter of Nevers Road, NB and Monica Harris of Silverwood, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by one sister, Rosetta and brothers Lloyd Eldon and Oliver Jr. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Graveside Service will take place in the Zionville Community Cemetery, on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 1 pm with Rev. John Woodcock officiating. Reception to follow at the Taymouth United Church Hall. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice.
