Obituary of Muriel Currie
The passing of Muriel Bernice (Price) Currie of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Merle Currie occurred on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Born on October 19, 1924 in Pokiok, NB, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Ethel (Grant) Price. She was a loving grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and always took care of her family.
Muriel is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Currie; sons, Robert Currie (Ruth) of Nashwaak Village, NB, Earl Currie (Betty) of Lincoln, NB; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Stan Price (Donna) of Oshawa, ON; sisters, Doris Burns of Fredericton, NB and Betty Jukes of Oshawa, ON; brother-in-law, Louie Wuhr of Minto, NB; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Price of Brockville, ON, Shirley Price of Caverhill, NB, Dorothy Price of Lincoln, NB and Evelyn Price of Oshawa, ON; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Muriel was predeceased by sisters, Audrey Billings, Madeline Price, Phyllis Wurh; brothers, Aubrey, Merlin, Tom, Jack, Phillip and Winston Price, brothers-in-law, Ned Jukes and William Bennett.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11 am with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Interment will take place in Mactaquac Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
