Obituary of Harvard Jones

Jones, Harvard Lloyd On Monday, April 21, 2014, Harvard Lloyd Jones of Fredericton, NB, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour and his loving wife, Glenna (Green) Jones. Born on April 16, 1933 in Grand Manan, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Estella (Green) Jones. Harvard retired in 1993 from various occupations, including delivering the mail, selling cars but was especially passionate about driving tractor trailer for Connor’s Brothers. He was a member of Seal Cove Wesleyan Church, Grand Manan and attended Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church. Harvard leaves behind his children, Shelly Harris (David) of Fredericton, NB, Stanley of Dipper Harbour, NB and Andrea Mavety (William) of Kingston, ON; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by brother, Ronald R. Jones. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Thursday, April 24, 2014 for family from 1-2 pm and for public from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 1 pm with Rev. A. J. Plaizier and Rev. Normand McDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
