Obituary of Margaret Wilson
The passing of Margaret Catherine Wilson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Harry A. Wilson occurred on Monday, April 14, 2014 at home. Born on July 4, 1919 in St. Margarets, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Cook) Hackett. Margaret worked on the inspection board of United Kingdom in Montreal, QC and then as a sales clerk with Kiled Dress Shop and Zellers. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Burden (Michael) of Sackville, NB and her son, Robert James Wilson of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Krista Burden, Benjamin Burden and Melissa Wilson; sister, Clara Branfield; brother, James Hackett (Audry) of Hamilton, ON; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her special friend, Francis Hanson. Besides her parents and husband, Margaret was predeceased by her grandson, Alexander Burden; sisters, Helen Zolboka, Mary Dickson, Rev. Sister Lillian Hackett, Theresa Wallace and Lucy Power; brothers, Gerald, Harold, Jack and Bill Hackett.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Foundation – Oncology Department, St. Anthony’s Church – Building Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
