Obituary of Robert Foster

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Robert “Bob” Foster of Fredericton, NB, husband of Gail (Bamford) Foster on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at home. Born on May 14, 1947 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Eugene and Jean (Laing) Foster. He was most recently employed with Bemrose and Kilburn. Bob enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid snowmobiler, enjoyed going to hockey games, car races and harness racing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the camp with Wayne, Bill and Paddy. He loved to travel and had just returned from a winter vacation in Arizona. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his son, Rob Foster (Keri Anne); sister, Audrey Waugh (Sterling MacLean); brother in law, Gary Bamford (Rose); several nieces, nephews and cousins. Although there will be no funeral by request, there will be a celebration of Bob’s life at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. There will be a private interment at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
