Obituary of Eva Fowler
Surrounded by her loving family, the passing of Eva Lillian Fowler, wife of the late Russell Fowler formerly of Holtville, NB occurred on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestown, NB. Born in Holtville, NB on September 23, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Fred and Thelma (Hunter) Fowler. Eva enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved fishing and hunting but her greatest memories would be her Dungarvon birthday parties, cooking and pickling, her love of country music, bingo and being surrounded by her adoring family. She was a retired pastry cook who worked at the old Diplomat Restaurant in Fredericton, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary Normandy Branch #78, Upper Miramichi Lions Club, Holtville Women’s Institute and the Boiestown United Church.
Eva is survived by her partner of 30 years, Orville Pond; children, Judy (Kendell) Astle of Astle, NB, Linda (Don Booker) Fowler of Fredericton, NB, David (Sharon) Fowler of Holtville, NB, William “Billy” Fowler of Holtville, NB, Willard “Dudge” (Lorrie) Fowler of Holtville, NB and son-in-law, Guy Loiselle of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Mark, Stacey, Abby, Josh, Heather, Amanda, Tiffani and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Mathew, Michael, Drew, Gracie, Tyler, David, Asa, Hunter, Torin, Chase and babies Eva and Adah; siblings, John (Gertie) Fowler of Astle, NB, Ethel (Terry) Spencer of Holtville, NB, Darrell (Pat) Fowler of Durham, NB, Helena (Nick) Samsonoff of Maple Ridge, BC, Owen (Debby) Fowler of Marysville, NB, James (Glenna) Fowler of Fredericton, NB, Nelson (Julie) Fowler of Bayswater, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her daughter, Wendy Loiselle; sisters, Freda Hood, Gerry Ellery and Patsy Fowler; brothers, Calvin, David and Alan Fowler.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi Valley Funeral Home’s Chapel on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Patricia Armstrong and Rev. Murray McFarlane officiating. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to CNBNH staff and Bertha for the above and beyond care of Eva and the family.
