He was born on October 5, 1942 in Fredericton, NB; the oldest son of the late Gwen and Wilson Jones. Floyd spent most of his working life with the Federal Government in Halifax and Fredericton. Among his many pursuits, were cross country skiing, kayaking, canoeing and traveling, ideally enjoying these activities with family and friends. Floyd was proud of his Welsh ancestry on both sides of his family and was a long time board member of the Welsh Heritage Trust, overseeing the Cardigan Church. He would like to thank, Dr. Debra Gowan, Dr. Phillip Bock, the DECRH Oncology nurses, the extra mural nurses and his many friends and family members for their great care and kindness over the last few months. In addition to his wife Helen, Floyd is survived by his son, Andrew (Joanna) of Halifax, NS; daughter, Stephanie of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters, Anna and Carys Jones; sister, Ardyth Moore (Bill Keating); brother, Larry Jones; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
