Obituary of C. William Biden
The passing of C. William Biden of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Margaret (Hildebrand) Biden, occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Windsor Court Retirement Residence. Born on June 21, 1922 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Edmund and Josephine (Foreman) Biden. He was a Teacher for 13 years at various schools in NB, two years at Albert College in Belleville, ON, six years at the NB Teachers College and 21 years at the University of New Brunswick. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. William enjoyed gardening and caring for his home. He spent his last three years as a happy and contented resident of Windsor Court.
William is survived by his daughter, Mary Bourgeois (Paul) of Riverview, NB; son, Edmund Biden (Bernadette) of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Emily, Jeremy (Velta Douglas) and Catherine Biden, Kaleigh and Ashlyn Bourgeois; great granddaughter, Liga Douglas-Biden; sister, Edress Thomas of Hoyt formerly of Cross Creek, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his one infant sister and sisters, Jane King, Wanda McGathey and Vivian Spurrell and brother, Douglas Biden.
Although there will be no visitation; a Funeral Service will take place from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
