Obituary of Lois Maloney

The passing of Lois Audrey Maloney, wife of the late John “Jack” Maloney of Doaktown, NB occurred on Thursday, January 23, 2014 in Durham Bridge, NB. Born on September 16, 1936 in Storeytown, NB, Lois was a daughter of the late Earl and Charlotte (Carr) Storey. Lois worked many jobs over the years, most recently as a homecare worker. She was Anglican by faith, enjoyed baking cookies and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois was a kind and loving soul who people enjoyed spending time with. Lois is survived by her daughter, Debra Lancaster (Ian Boyd) of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Crystal Bower, Travis and Mistey Hinchey; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jesse and Lacey-Lee Bower; sisters Alta Colford (Paul) of Storeytown, NB, Colleen Storey of Fredericton, NB; brother, Glen Storey (Eileen) of Blissfield, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Lois was predeceased by her sister, Alva Sutherland; brothers Don, Lyle and Vin Storey; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Memorial Service will be held from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Monday January 27, 2014 at 2 pm with Father Brian Spence officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew’s Anglican Cemetery, Doaktown, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
