Obituary of Alvin Murray

The passing of Alvin Connors Murray of Noonan, NB, husband of the late Nina (Arbeau) Murray occurred on Monday, January 06, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 13, 1931 in Upper Blackville, NB, he was the son of the late Hugh and Emma (Connors) Murray. He worked as a supervisor for the City of Fredericton and the Fredericton Transit. Alvin was a member of the Noonan First United Pentecostal Church. Alvin is survived by his daughters, Edwina Harris and Venessa Fox (Brian) all of Noonan, NB; son, Danny Murray (Susan) of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Jason (Carrie), Justin, Katelyn (Mike), Travis, Benjamin (Britany), Natasha and Krystle (Mike); great grandchildren, Jordan, Maddison, Scarlet, Tristan, Olivia, Farrah and Maddox; sisters, Edna MacCarthy of Blackville, NB, Iva Arbeau of Boiestown, NB, Ramona MacDonald of Blissfield, NB, Vera Mersereau (Junior) of Blackville, NB and Jean Bragdon of Connecticut, USA; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Dora Paige; brothers, Aubrey and Eldon Murray, Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Noonan First United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2 pm with Rev. Bruce Arseneault officiating. Interment will take place in Upper Blackville United Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
