I worked with Larry (Laurie) at Cives until his retirement many years ago. The passing of those years has really reduced the number of current people who overlapped with him..........I am one of the lucky ones. He was a gentleman and had a work ethic that set the bar for many who were much younger than him. Knowing him was a pleasure and I join your celebration of his life.

Jeannie's Alaska buddies have all the Palmers in our thoughts this Thanksgiving weekend. Your dad was such a great guy. I am the proud owner of two of his turned wooden bowls, and I will remember him when I look at them.
We're raising glasses to his memory in Fairbanks tonight.

On behalf of the Wellness Connections, Ste. Anne's Court, we would like to extend sincere condolences to Lawrence's family. We remember him well as he always had a smile and joke during his time with us. During the Christmas season, his apt was beautifully decorated by the family and he told us stories about each ornament.
R.I.P. Lawrence

I'm signing on behalf of myself and mother Joan Palmer, sister in law to Laurie. So very sorry to hear of his passing, he will be deeply missed by many. I was very lucky to have had a visit with him and his daughter Shirley just a few weeks ago while visiting New Brunswick. It was wonderful to see that he hadn't lost his keen sense of humor or charm. There isn't a person who comes to mind on this earth who was as funny and as much fun to be around as my Uncle Laurie. I as well as my children will always cherish the stay we had at Burtland Brook as one of the best family trips we ever had. Laurie acted as one of the fishing guides, pranksters, and storytellers ( all of which were true). Thinking of all his children at this time, with love Jane and family and Joan Palmer

I knew Larry when he was the Field Rep and I was a young Clerk/Go-Fer for Cives Steel. I always adored him. He had the best sense of humor and was always great company when I'd have to trek off somewhere on some crazy mission for our G.M. He taught me how to "hypnotize" lobsters and, generally, regaled me with really bad jokes. I have thought of him often over the years since his retirement (the first person I ever knew who got a welding machine for a retirement gift!) and the memories always make me smile. Rest well, "Fast Hands" Palmer, give Frieda a kiss for me.

To Laurie's family
Our condolences on the loss of your dad. Laurie was a regular at our hunting camp for many years and often regaled us with his jokes and stories. He never tired of telling them and we never tired of listening. A kind and gentle man with a contagious smile, he will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
