Obituary of Douglas Davis

The passing of Douglas “Doug” Howard Davis of Hanwell, NB occurred on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 17, 1926 in Acton, NB he was the son of the late Murray and Ethel (Coffey) Davis. Doug worked for 35 years at Tractors and Equipment, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Fredericton Snowmobile Club, he enjoyed snowmobiling, four wheeling, hunting, camping and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Parker) Davis; children, Donald Davis (Rachel) of Moncton, NB, Pat McDowell (Greg) of Tracyville, NB, Ronald Davis of Hanwell, NB; grandchildren, Pauline Davis (Matt), Melanie Davis (Gilles), Elise Davis (Luc), Jeffrey McDowell (Lisa), Kalita McDowell and Kyle McDowell; brother-in-law, Don Garwood of Chula Vista, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Doug was predeceased by his sisters, Elma Black (Russell) and Helen Garwood; brothers, Dayton Davis (Emma) and infant brother, Donald Davis. At Doug’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in the Acton Community Cemetery at a later date.
