Obituary of Joseph Hood

The passing of Joseph Earl Hood of Cross Creek, NB, husband of Emily (McHatten) Hood occurred on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 1, 1940 in Cross Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Donald and Mabel (Currie) Hood. He was a member of the Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church and the Masonic Lodge. Joseph was a Fisheries Officer with Fisheries and Oceans. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Joseph is survived by his daughter, Sheila Carr (Terry) of Cross Creek, NB; son, Dale Hood (Maureen) of United Arab Emirates; grandchildren, Donald Hood (Dana), Iris Munn (Philip) and Adam Carr (Ashley); great grandchildren, Addison, Ashlynn and Caleb; brother, Ray Hood (Paulette) of Cross Creek, NB; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Carol Davis. Visitation will take place at Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church, 905 Route 8, Taymouth, NB on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 12-2 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev.
