Obituary of Susan Munn
The passing of Susan Heather Munn, wife of Darrell Munn of Bloomfield Ridge, NB occurred on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on July 17, 1943 in Toronto, ON, Susan was the daughter of the late John “Jack” and Mildred (Reid) Hillman. Before retirement, she was an Assistant Vice President at Citibank Canada. Susan was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star holding the position of Worthy Matron of Hillcrest Chapter #40. She enjoyed bingo and was involved with the Shiners’ Hospital for Sick Children. She attended Boiestown United Church.
In addition to her husband of over 30 years, Susan is survived by a daughter, Teresa Swann (Dean) of Calgary, AB; a son, Daniel Munn of Ottawa, ON; two grandchildren, Victoria “Tori” and Spencer Swann; her aunt, Audrey Reid; and cousins, Douglas Kirkland (Francoise), Kent Kirkland (Margaret), Pam Deichert (Rick) and Judy Tiedemann (Bob).
Visitation will be at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a Tribute Service by the Order of the Eastern Star will be at 6:45 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Douglas Cosman officiating and Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley assisting. Pallbearers are Kent Kirkland, Rick Deichert, Mark Munn, Frank McKeil, Darren Stewart and Paul Lemmon. Interment is in Parkers Ridge Cemetery. A reception will be held following the service at the Boiestown Lions Club, catered by the Order of the Eastern Star, Boiestown United Church and members of the Lions Club. Remembrances may be made to the Luxor Shiners’ – Fredericton Transportation Fund or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Personal condolences may be offered through www.miramichivalleyfh.com
