Obituary of Duncan Ward

The passing of Duncan Eugene Ward of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ella Mae (Merrill) Ward occurred on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on February 25, 1939 in Blissfield, NB, he was the son of the late Hogan and Betty (Campbell) Ward. Duncan worked as the parts manager for Barker’s Equipment/Wallace Equipment for 28 years. He was a member of the Fredericton Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. In addition to his wife, Duncan is survived by his daughter, Karen Ward (Peter Hilder) of Saint John, NB; son, Eugene Ward (Jennifer) of Penniac, NB; grandchildren, Jake and Megean Ward and their mother, Line Ward; great granddaughter, Peyton Kehoe; sister, Shirley Gregory (David) of Charters Settlement, NB; brother, Ivan Ward (Jean) of Arcadia, FL; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Marysville United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.
