Obituary of Vincent Storey

The passing of Vincent Lewis Storey of Kingsley, NB, husband of the late Shirley (Lint) Storey occurred on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born on September 16, 1929 in Doaktown, NB, Vincent was a son of the late Lawrence and Ina (Price) Storey. He was a woodsman who also worked as a guide for American Sports in Miramichi, NB and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Vincent is survived by six daughters, Joyce Storey (Bill Carter) of Fredericton, NB, Helen Colford (Kenny) of Stanley, NB, Geraldine Crossman (Brian) of Fredericton, NB, Fay Storey (Barry O’Donnell) of Edmonton, AB, Carol Aube (John) of Kingsley, NB, Bonnie Starchuk (Larry) of Cold Lake, AB; two sons, Keith Storey (Sandra) of Doaktown, NB, Darrell Storey (Melva) of Fredericton, NB; 36 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Storey of Fredericton, NB, Everett Storey of St. Stephen, NB, Winston Storey (Ruthene) of New Bandon, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Vincent was predeceased by a son, James Storey; three grandchildren, Twila Storey, Karen LeBlanc, Darrell “DJ” Storey; three sisters, Ora Weaver, Mildred Herbert, Marie Goodine; and a brother Oran Storey. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 from 12 until 2 pm followed by a service at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will be in Seymour Memorial Cemetery, Kingsley, NB. Remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
