Obituary of Gerald Sharpe

The passing of Gerald Moses Sharpe, husband of the late Nancy (Agnew) Sharpe, of Keswick Ridge, NB, occurred on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 22, 1929 in Keswick, NB, he was a son of the late Harold and Lucy (Yerxa) Sharpe. Gerald was a Dairy Farmer. He was a member of the L.O.L. and the L.O.B.A. and enjoyed gardening. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Christina Brewer (Phillip) of Burtts Corner, NB; his son, Doug Sharpe (Kelly) of Tripp Settlement, NB; grandchildren, Walter and Elizabeth; great grandson, Declan; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Barb Agnew of Sussex, NB; brothers-in-law, Edward Stewart (Irene) of Moncton, NB, Jerry Agnew (Bonnie) and Jim Stewart (Doreen) both of Calgary, AB; sisters-in-law, Hazel Jacquart (Brian) of Saint John, NB and Rose Nicol (Peter) of Sussex, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his infant brother, Russell. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Keswick Baptist Church, Keswick, NB on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Bev Jewett officiating and Pastor Steve Matthews assisting. Pallbearers for the service will be Andrew McCullough, David Duplessis, Donnie Clark, Danny Gilbert, Ray Yerxa and Richard Yerxa; Honourary Pallbearers are Fred Duplessis, Harold Sharpe, Bill Jewett, Bob McCullough, Edward Stewart and Peter Nicol. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery, Keswick, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, CA-R-MA (Cat Rescue Maritime), Sandy Cove Bible Camp or to Keswick Baptist Church.
