Obituary of Wayne Morehouse
With sadness, the passing of Wayne Robert Morehouse of Lincoln, NB, husband of Nancy (Coughlan) Morehouse occurred on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 31, 1946 in Zealand, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Lena (Corey) Morehouse. In his earlier years, he worked at York Steel and then for a short time, he ran his own business, “Northside Vacuum and Small Appliance Repair”. Wayne is a former owner and operator for Sunbury Transport; a highlight of his trucking career was having both him and his sons all working for the same company at the same time. He enjoyed camping, golfing, loved John Wayne movies and old country music. Wayne will be remembered as someone who enjoyed barbequing and loved to cook for an army, everyone was always welcome.
In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his sons, Ron Morehouse (Tanya) of Burton, NB, Andrew Morehouse (Patsy) of Lincoln, NB and Michael Morehouse (Mandi) of London, ON; grandchildren, Robert, Abigail, Jacob, Sam, Emma, Olivia, Hannah, Ava and Lily; sisters, Sharon Lindsay (Gaylon) of Millville, NB and Sandra Palmer of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Blaine Morehouse (Juanita) of Burtts Corner, NB and Danny Morehouse of Marysville, NB; brothers-in-laws, Scott Coughlan (Debbie) of Lincoln, NB and Greg Maston of Marysville, NB; several nieces and nephews; and also his dog, Ferbie. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Robert Allen; brothers, Gary and David; sister-in-law, Lila.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Harold Jenkins officiating. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Staff of 4NW and the Palliative Care Unit of the DECRH.
