Obituary of Emile Doiron

The passing of Emile Joseph Doiron of Durham Bridge, NB, husband of Antonia (Saulnier) occurred on June 3, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on April 21, 1931 in Rivière-du-Portage, he was the son of the late Jean-Louis and Sarah (Landry) Doiron. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Emile is survived by his sons, Allen (Cheryl) Doiron, David (Rhonda) Doiron; his daughters, Linda (Gary) Storey, Theresa Doiron (Maurice), Murielle (Terry) Richard, Shirley Doiron (Pat), and Jo-Anne (Peter) MacNutt; eleven grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, Ryan, Ashley, Melissa, Travis, Shannon, Caitlyn, Brett, Makenzie, Savannah, and Dylan; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Ethan. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amy Richard; his brothers, George, Jean-Louis “John”, Eduoard, Albéni ”Ben”, Patrick, Alvery and Raymond Doiron; his sisters, Suzanne Haché, Sara Brideau, Leda Holmes, and Lea Godin. In his early years, Emile was a woodsworker, and later worked in construction. Emile enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and four-wheeling with his friends and family, that he loved dearly; fishing with his grandchildren; playing his guitar, and playing cards with his family. He had a special bond with grandson Jamie, who he treated like a son. He was the last remaining member of his family. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Parish on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 2 pm with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant. Pallbearers for the service will be his grandsons, Jamie Doiron, Jason Storey, Ryan Richard, Travis Storey, Brett Doiron and Dylan MacNutt. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery following the service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
