Connie was predeceased by her parents, Jean (Norrad) Greene + Arthur Greene; her siblings: Joyce, Paul, Valerie, Mildred, Ralph, Phyllis, Artie, and Rhona; granddaughter Kristian Elaine.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim Campbell; her children, Heather Johnston (Jamey) of Calgary, Alberta and Mike Campbell (Jessica) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren Jordan Moulton (Alex) of Fredericton, NB, Campbell, Hunter, Ryder + Scout Johnston of Calgary, Alberta, Kara + Lucie Campbell of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren Bentley, Leo + Myla Victoria of Fredericton, NB; sister Brenda Gullison (Laurie)of Fredericton, NB; brothers Neil Greene of Innisfail, Alberta and Bev Greene (Freda) of London, Ontario; sisters and brother in-law Paulette Green (Paul) , Alton O’Hara (Rhona) and Wilda Greene (Ralph); many nieces and nephews.

Connie was born in Stanley, NB on July 17, 1954, the tenth of 12 children.  She was named by her father and brother Paul as they drove to see her at hospital. She grew up playing in the field, picking wild strawberries and chasing cows.  She had a close relationship with all of her siblings, but had a special bond with Brenda and Neil as they were the youngest three.

She attended school in Taymouth and then on to high schools in Devon and Fredericton.

Connie was a 1972 graduate of Fredericton High School and began working for the Province of NB in the Dept of Justice, and retiring from her government career in the dept of Education at the age of 55.  Connie held many positions over the years, such as crafter and craft shop owner; 4H leader; very active Taymouth Community Association member; active member in The Taymouth Community Market; a member of Royal Canadian Legion Beaverbrook Branch #80; Tops NB 4519 Taymouth member; active member in the Creative Scrapbooker VIP group; and Creative Memories Advisor hosting crops and scrapbooking events with her Scrappy Friends.

She married Jim in 1973. They began their life together in Fredericton. In 1976, they moved back to Taymouth and by 1983 they began building their dream home on the family land where she grew up.  Their family began to grow with Heather born in early 1974, and Mike less than a year later in January 1975.

She was always very proud of her two children, their families and entrepreneurial spirits. She instilled in them a hard work ethic, good moral compasses and the ability to have a great laugh.  She was always so supportive of their personal and professional endeavours. She adored her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and spent many hours rocking each of them in grammie’s squeaky rocking chair.  She loved watching each of them play, grow, graduate and start their own families and careers.

Nothing was more important to Connie than family. Her extended family was large to say the least.  With many siblings near and far, nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends, she enjoyed hosting countless family gatherings at home in Taymouth.

Connie loved to travel. At only 25 she travelled to Europe.  Her and Jim travelled across Canada with the kids twice, in 1981 and 1991 visiting the sites and family across the country. Connie made several trips to Ontario and out west to Alberta to visit her siblings and many more trips to Calgary to visit Heather and her family over the past 16 years, as well as trips to Calgary for scrapbooking events.

She even jumped on a scrapbooking cruise once and always wanted to do another one!  Ireland was on her big bucket list of places to go, so we may have to make our way there in her place.

Connie was a creative at heart. She loved to craft, journal, write, paint, scrapbook, take photos and work in many mixed medias and loved her dedicated Craft room in her home.  Always interested in a new art technique, new scrapbook product lines and meeting new friends, the arts and craft world is where she felt most creative.  Her scrappy friends from home and afar will miss her greatly.

In August 2024, at our annual cousins weekend celebration, her entire family was able to be together for a commemorative full family photo and fun video.

August also brought her, and us to hospital, where she battled and won against cancer, however she was met with complications from surgery. Her perseverance shone through as she fought to recover, always in good spirits with a hope to return home.

Everyone who knew her loved her. She was a big part of all of our lives and we will miss her always.

Connie asked that her family host a celebration of life party at the Taymouth Community Centre.
