Obituary of June Frances Wilkins

June Frances Wilkins, of Mazerolle Settlement, NB, passed away at home on November 17, 2024. Born on June 19, 1933, in Cains River, NB, she was the cherished daughter of the late Frances (Kervin) and Douglas Cashen. June was the devoted wife of the late Robert Wilkins.

She is remembered by her sisters, Pauline Cashen, Eileen Cashen (Ralph), and Bonnie Cashen-Messer (Duane),  God children, Troy and Terri Messer, along with her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. June was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Wilkins (George), and her brothers, James Cashen (Violet) and Jackie Cashen.

June had a deep love for Irish and country music, enjoyed playing cards, and treasured her time camping along the Cains River. She had a passion for gardening, appreciated the beauty of flowers, and had a special fondness for dogs.

Family and friends can pay their respects at York Funeral Home, located at 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 12 to 2 PM. A funeral service will follow at 2 PM at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Bill Brennan officiating. Interment will be held at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Fredericton.
