My condolences to you Charles, Steven, Victoria and family
Joy was such a great friend. We always travelled to school together on the same bus. She was such a kind, gentle and loving person. She always had a smile on her face and I will always remember her laugh. Joy and I were especially close during our high school years. She was one of my attendants in our bridal party. We had many great times together. I enjoyed every visit we had together. As Pastor Roger Mitchell mentioned at her funeral, (her farewell gathering) Joy was the perfect name for her because her heart was full of joy and it showed on the outside. We will miss you. Until we meet again, so long for now sweet friend.
Ida (Betts) DuPlessis

Our deepest sympathy to you, Charles, and to Steven and Victoria and the grandchildren. Also to Joy's siblings, we are so sorry for your loss. I met Joy in 1978 or 79 and always felt I had a true friend, even though distance separated us for many years. It is comforting to know she has earned her heavenly home. God bless and comfort you all.

My dear sweet Joy changed my life the day she asked me to move to Alberta with her almost 43 years ago. We were going for 9 months but liked it so much we stayed. We had so many memories together. Joy was such a kind, loving person inside and out and loved her family so much. I remember how excited she was when she met Charles. All she ever wanted was to have a family of her own and was blessed with 2 wonderful kids and 5 granddaughters that made her so very happy. Joy will be missed by many ❤️

Joy was a sweet, kind, and a true friend I met in Grand Manan when our children were preschool age. We had lots of fun over the 3 years we lived on the island together. We always kept in touch and I will miss our chats. Rest in peace my sweet friend. Your family and friends are so lucky to have had you as part of our lives. Gone but never to be forgotten.❤️

Joy , Our friendship has continued over the years from teenagers through long distances, where we went into marriage, children, life in general to your return “home” . One of those friendships where you can go for years without seeing each other and start talking like you were together yesterday. Love ❤️ You Forever
