My sincere condolences on the passing of Marilyn.
She light up a room with her smile and her voice! She radiated love and enthusiasm for life and shared that with those she met along the way. Marilyn’s faith sustained her as I know it will sustain you going forward without her earthly presence.
May you also be comforted and lifted up by your precious memories.

Dear Roger and family.
We were just informed of Marilyn 's passing and are so shocked and saddened by this news. I remember meeting her in September 1969 at the South Devon School where I had the privilege of being a new grade 4 teacher where Marilyn was employed. She took me under her wing, and guided me through that first year ( and more), and I have never forgotten her kindness and helpfulness. I never would have survived that first year without her help. I also remember that we were lucky enough to have Marilyn sing at our wedding over fifty years ago. She had the voice of an angel.
Marilyn phoned me about a year ago (I think it was), out of the blue, and I was so happy to hear from her, and I'm so glad that we got to catch up on all the changes and additions to our lives, like grandchildren and great grandchildren. A long time had passed since we had been in contact, but it was so like her to reach out, and we had a wonderful talk.
Please accept our sincere and heartfelt condolences. She was a gem, and will never be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Rick and Marilyn Ingram.

Marilyn was a gentle, thoughtful, talented lady who was dedicated to her family, church, and friends. We have known each other since we were small - at George St. Bapt. Church, York Singers and Grace Memorial Baptist Church. I will never forget her long handwritten letters to me, including photos of a granddaughter in her prom dress, when I went through my cancer journey. They took me out of the hospital or treatment room for a while and I was able to re-read them. Tremendous comfort. I can't believe she is gone. She will be sadly missed.

Marylin was a beautiful person who loved God with all her heart and soul and cared for her neighbors as she did for herself. She was a wonderful person who praised God with beautiful hymns and prayed for others, even from her sickbed. She will be deeply missed by all who know her.
Losing a friend who always prayed for me, a leader of my Bible study group, and a cherished choir colleague brought me unbearable sadness. Whenever I see the beautiful Saint John River, the blue sky, vibrant trees, and twinkling stars, I may think of my friend Marylin. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
However, I will send her off with a smile instead of tears because I believe I can meet her in heaven if I follow the narrow but beautiful path she walked.
I pray God's comfort and peace be with Roger and the family.

This certainly is heartbreaking for me. She was like my mother and loved me and the boys.
She made us comfortable during our first year as immigrants in NB, always calling and checking up on us.
I'm comforted that Marylin is resting with the Lord.
Rest in power, sweet mother, friend and sister till we meet on the resurrection morning.

Marilyn was a beautiful person inside and out. I had several chats with her about medical conditions and one thing I noticed was that Marilyn never complained about her pain. She was faithful to her Lord and will be well rewarded. You will miss her greatly but God released her of all pain and illness. We will certainly miss her in our church family and will uphold you Roger, Byron, Andrew and Stephen and your families in our prayers.

My family knew the Downie family from George Street Baptist Church, where my mother, Thelma Kolding, was director of junior and intermediate choirs. I remember the day she came home from choir practice, excited about the little girl with the beautiful voice. She and Marilyn became friends for life. She even taught Marilyn to drive.
I am very sorry to learn of Marilyn's passing. Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss.

When I think of Aunt Marilyn I always think of music. I remember playing on her organ for hours as a kid, hearing her singing all the time, and receiving original compositions for gifts. She was always serving those around her, and filled with love.

Some of my fondest memories of Marilyn go back to our collaborations as a hillbilly duo to entertain at church family suppers. We had lots of giggles coming up with the corny dialogue and comic song lyrics. Marilyn had a great wit and lively sense of humor.
A beautiful, gentle spirit, wholly committed to her Lord, and never happier than when she was singing for Him. I will miss her.
