With profound sadness, the family of Hilton Everett Amos, husband of Beverly (Hughes) Amos of Fredericton, NB, announce his sudden and unexpected passing on Friday, July 26, 2024.  Born on September 4, 1954 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Agnes “Betty” (Fullerton) Amos and the late Percy Amos. Hilton was a devoted member of his church community. He retired from the Fredericton Fire Department in his 31st year of service with his last assignment being Station #3 on Kimble Drive. He was an avid hunter, angler, canoe poler and motorcycle enthusiast but his true joy came from time spent with his loving wife, his family, his friends and his furry companion, Roxxy. A man of many talents, Hilton could build anything with his hands; from detailed woodworking, custom building with metal and welding, but also had a soft side, tending a garden for Beverly.

In addition to his wife and mother, Hilton is survived by his children, Amanda Hill (Fred), Richard Amos (Nickie), Darin Amos (Lindsay); step-daughters Cynthia Boudreau (Kevin), Sandra Golding (Brian); grandchildren, Kelsey, Oryon, Nolan, Landon, Jordan, Braden, Raelynn, Madalyn, Spencer, McCarthy, Braedon, Mikaela, Riley and Sophie; brothers, Allen Amos (Sandra), Alfred Amos, Tom Amos (Tobi Brooks); several nieces, and nephews.

Besides his father, Hilton was predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Donna Amos and Jan Amos.

Hilton's helping spirit and his straight-shooting advice will forever live on in our hearts and minds.
